Workshops
 
In his workshop concept ‘sonic swarms’ he deals with a physical implementation of electroacoustic techniques of spatialisation, collective sound production and tries to cultivate a mindfulness and extended dimensionality of listening, not only via the ear but by physical acitvation as well. His approach is inspired by deep listening techniques of Pauline Oliviero, Murray Schafer's sound ecology and multichannel listening experiences. 
Iterations of this have been realised in workshops at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Leipzig, SOAM Residency, at the Art Biesenthal Festival and at Kunsthaus Dahlem in various contexts.

​Private Lessons
​
Ben Meerwein teaches also privat lesson for composition, music theory, piano and music production. He trys to follow a holistic approach in which a combination of practical playing, theoretical considerations and improvisation/composition is used to get closer to the essence of the music while trying to preserve the joy of making music. Each course is individually tailored to the needs of the students.
